Last views on technology

Technology

To reflect back on my time with this course it has been informative and creative. I would like to think that my views has changed about technology but I feel it stays the same.

I still think technology is interesting. It's something I use everyday personally and professionally. I would like to utilize it more in my classes with students but I am not sure how I would like to do that. I have always had a thought of having the students make a presentation in one my classes but we only have 4 computers for the students to use and I am not sure if you could use an iPad. I think blogging could be another interesting tool to incorporate. Maybe in my leisure course. We could make a class blog. That would be really cool!

Another interesting experiment for my students to try would be their digital tattoo. I'm sure more of my students have a presence than me. Some of my parents are on Facebook and I know they share their moments. I would love to see if we can see them.

For me, personally, I think I have come out of this course with more of a like for blogging than I did when this class started. I think I would like to keep up with it but more as a journal for myself and if I want to share I can. Not sure if that is really a blog but online writing is kind of therapeutic to me.

We have the technology so why not use it. I think integrating it more into class would be great. I just need to think of how that would look in my special education class. Also, integrating it more into my life. becoming more than just a passive scoller.
